By using the ti app ("the App") you accept these terms. The App is provided by Thuis Italiaans, thuisitaliaans@gmail.com.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App and its content for personal learning. You may not copy, distribute, resell or systematically extract the content (texts, exercises, dictionary, graded novels) outside the App.
Content and intellectual property
Teaching texts, exercises, graded adaptations of the novels, translations, graphics and software are protected by copyright. © ti / thuisitaliaans.com — all rights reserved. The original literary works adapted are in the public domain; the graded adaptations are our own work and protected as such.
Purchases, subscriptions and renewal
The App offers monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions, a one-time Lifetime purchase, and individual purchases of paths and novels. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period; manage or cancel them in your Apple account settings. Prices are shown in the App in your local currency before purchase. A “School Voucher” plan is also available: a 6-month auto-renewing subscription, activated with a code from your school.
Content included in plans
All paid plans unlock the complete A1–C2 course and unlimited games. In addition, Monthly and Yearly include 3 titles of your choice and Lifetime includes 6, chosen freely among all the titles indicated in the App — learning paths and graded novels alike, with no distinction. With the School Voucher, titles are not included and are purchased individually. Choices are final on all plans: a chosen title is added and cannot be changed. Content covered by a subscription remains accessible while the subscription is active: if you cancel you lose the coverage, but your choices are not lost and become available again when a plan is reactivated. Individual purchases and Lifetime do not expire. Future titles may be sold separately.
Promo codes
Any promo codes (for example from partner schools) are single-use, valid for one account only and only on the indicated plan, and are redeemed through Apple's system. The school code activates the “School Voucher” plan (6 months at €19.99): the subscription renews automatically unless cancelled in your Apple account settings.
Refunds
Purchases go through the App Store: refund requests are handled by Apple under its conditions, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Updates and availability
New paths and novels arrive through App updates on the App Store. We do our best to keep the App working and the content accurate, but the App is provided "as is", without warranty of freedom from errors. We may change or discontinue non-essential features.
Acceptable use
You may not use the App unlawfully, attempt to bypass purchase or content-access mechanisms, or decompile the software beyond what the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights under the law of your country.
App Store (Apple) — additional terms
For the version of the App distributed through the Apple App Store, these terms are the end-user license agreement (EULA), concluded between you and Thuis Italiaans only — not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). Thuis Italiaans, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content. In addition: (a) the license is limited, non-transferable and covers use of the App on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules of the App Store Terms of Service (except that the App may be accessed by other accounts through Family Sharing or volume purchasing); (b) Thuis Italiaans, not Apple, is solely responsible for any maintenance and support; Apple has no obligation to provide any; (c) if the App fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the App’s purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation; (d) Thuis Italiaans, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims relating to the App, including product liability, non-compliance with legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection; (e) in case of a third-party claim that the App infringes intellectual-property rights, Thuis Italiaans, not Apple, is solely responsible for its investigation, defence, settlement and discharge; (f) you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting”, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties; (g) when using the App you must also comply with any applicable third-party terms; (h) Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce them against you. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the App or on this page. These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands, without prejudice to consumer rights. Contact: thuisitaliaans@gmail.com.
