Italian days are NOT capitalised.
- lunedì: Monday
- martedì: Tuesday
- mercoledì: Wednesday
- giovedì: Thursday
- venerdì: Friday
- sabato: Saturday
- domenica: Sunday
Notice the accent on -ì: it's stressed and audibly held.
Months
Also not capitalised.
- gennaio, febbraio, marzo, aprile, maggio, giugno
- luglio, agosto, settembre, ottobre, novembre, dicembre
How to say dates
Pattern: il + number + month.
- Il 5 marzo (5 March)
- Il 21 giugno (21 June)
- Exception: the first of the month uses primo (ordinal): Il primo maggio.
Year: Nel 2026: nel duemilaventisei.
